Welcome to butwal oldest and trusted education consultancy for abroad study

India is the most popular study destination for Nepali students. Shared borders, cultural familiarity, affordable fees, and strong academic institutions make India a practical and rewarding choice for higher education. At First Step Consultancy in Butwal, we have been helping students from Lumbini Province secure admission to reputed Indian universities for years, covering everything from course selection to visa processing.

Why Study in India?

Low cost, high quality. India offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs at a fraction of the cost of Western countries. Many private universities provide excellent infrastructure and faculty at fees that remain manageable for Nepali families.

Geographical and cultural ease. India shares an open border with Nepal. Travel is straightforward, family visits are easy, and the cultural environment is familiar. Nepali students adapt quickly to life in Indian cities without the significant culture shock of distant destinations.

No language barrier. Most Indian universities teach in English. Nepali students are already comfortable in this medium, which means you can focus fully on your studies from day one.

Diverse course options. India offers courses across medicine, engineering, management, law, nursing, pharmacy, agriculture, arts, and technology, with options at every budget level.

Scholarships available. The Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) offers dedicated scholarships for Nepali students each year, covering tuition and a monthly stipend. Several Indian states and private institutions also offer merit-based fee waivers.

Recognized degrees. Degrees from recognized Indian universities are accepted by employers and higher education institutions in Nepal, India, and internationally.
